About me
I am Assistant Professor in French and Applied Linguistics at Texas Tech University where I am also responsible for coordination of the French basic language program including: curriculum and assessment development and teacher mentoring for first and second-year French.
My research and scholarly interests are anchored in intersections between human action and experience and cultural texts, with a particular focus on pedagogical and technological innovations in foreign language teaching and learning that call explicit attention to identities, affect, cultures, and forms of representation and communication.
I earned my doctorate in Second Language Acquisition and Teaching (SLAT) at the University of Arizona in 2015, where I specialized in teaching French as a foreign language, multiliteracies approaches to foreign language teaching, curriculum and assessment development, and integration of technology in FL teaching and learning.
You can find sample teaching materials on this site as well as descriptions of my research.
